40 Days of Love – Day19

40 Days of Letting Go and Letting God

40 Days of Lent – Rebirth and Renewal

Rule 19

Fret not where the road will take you. Instead concentrate on the first step. That is the hardest part and that is what you are responsible for. Once you take that step let everything do what it naturally does and the rest will follow. Don’t go with the flow. Be the flow.

Today, we are releasing PESSIMISM and embracing God’s Love for us.

Our Lent Booklet Invites us today to release and let go of PESSIMISM and embrace our true nature that is Divine Love.

Pessimism, focusing on the appearance of anything labeled negative, eliminates joy, drains hope, and misguides faith. Releasing pessimism allows a view from a new perspective.

A pessimist sees a partially filled glass of water as half empty; an optimist sees it half full. By releasing pessimism, we can simply feel gratitude for the refillable glass and an abundance of clear water.

Releasing pessimism is a practice of mindfulness to deliberately choose thoughts focusing on good, love, health, wholeness, and prosperity. A positive experience of faith, hope, joy, and love are fully present with these thoughts held in mind. —Rev. Todd Humphrey

We can choose to embrace ourselves by saying: I look for love in every experience.

Rule No19 invites us today to realise the meaning of FLOW. Flow is part of the Divine, an ever present mystery of life and our existence. We cannot know the future or where each road takes us. We’d better go with the flow of Life and enjoy the ride.

Daily contemplative task: Today, I invite you to contemplate on the rule, the text above, and the quote below. In your meditation,  I would like you to consider what it would take for you to go with the flow. Use your meditation time to move into Oneness with the Divine Presence and allow yourself to move with God’s Spirit.

Please share your journey and experiences with me. Thank you.

Today we affirm: Today, I release pessimism.

Daily quotes:

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. —Philippians 4:8

Note : *My writing is based on the book “40 Rules of Love” by by Elif Shafak and The Lent booklet by Unity.org

Personally, I think it is important to find the True meaning behind the word ‘LOVE’,  understand it and experience it as a Spiritual Quality inherently within us.

I am going to walk this 40-day Lenten journey contemplating on the True meaning of Love, Divine Love, Spiritual Love for me by experimenting with the 40 rules and quotes from the Lent Booklet. Every day, between

the 5th of March to the 21 April 2025,

I will post a ‘rule’ from the book ’40 rules of Love’ and an a release idea from the book ’40 days of Rebirth and Renewal – Lent 2025′ by Unity.org. Then, we will contemplate on it and share about it in the UNITY EUROPE Facebook Group (CLICK HERE).

Let’s walk this journey together!
