Hildegard of Bingen lived between 1098-1179. She was a benedictine nun with extraordinary talent and accomplishment that have made her a source of inspiration and admiration. She was a mystic an a visionary, but she was also a prophet, a reformer, a scientist, an encyclopedist, a composer, and a dramatist – a Renaissance personality well before the Renaissance.
She wrote numerous books on various subject such as natural science, animals, natural medicine, holistic health, music, theology and her powerful spiritual visions.
She stands out from mystics as well who mostly wrote out of an intense personal experience of God. Instead Hildegard was a visionary and a prophet. She does not use the ‘divine-spouse’ approach to spirituality. She invites us through her insights to seek to penetrate the mystery of God and to live consciously in Its presence day by day.
Though she was a medieval Christian mystic and nun she believed in practical spirituality and daily contemplative practice that is relevant to one’s life. As you will see the daily sharing she offers for us to contemplate is rather ‘relevant’. Some days we are asked to contemplate on our choices in life, on other days, we will contemplate on how we view our own sexuality.
She created a daily practice schedule with short daily meditative prayers of her visionary messages that we will do at the start of the day. And then there will be exercises suggested for the end of the day, too.
Each morning around 5am CET a short video will be posted on our YOUTUBE, INSTA, and TIKTOK channels introducing a short meditation and the text for daily contemplation. Then in the evening, around 5pm CET another short video will be posted with the evening contemplations.

Reading, reflecting and Praying is the three-fold activity that we will be doing daily. I will read out a two-part message for you so you can listen to it in a meditative posture. You are asked to contemplate on the message and use the mantra throughout the day and make notes for yourself on your discoveries. In the evening there will be a closing prayer.
Every morning and evening set aside a few quiet moments (about 5-6min) where you can listen to the video without disruption.
If you can write down the mantra of the day and read it out for yourself regularly and just observe what happens.
The purpose of this program is to open a gate for you to gain spiritual insight and wisdom. We are all connected to the Source/Divine Presence/God (use your own word). It is a video book for a special kind of spiritual journey that offers insight and guidance. Please remember that this program intends to ‘free’ your spirit not to confine it so please go with what feels right. I offer a structure for you but you do not need to follow it if it does not work for you.
Don’t be surprised if you understand nothing. Understanding is not the point! Go with what feels right, simply allow Spirit to guide you through the next 30 days.
Let those who live with eyes wide open and hear with open ears welcome with love these mystical words, which have come from him who is Life. Hildegard von Bingen
