LEADERSHIP
My name is Rev. Ildiko Kudlik. I am the leader of Unity in Europe. I am an ordained Unity Minister who is working towards her Masters in Divinity in interfaith ministry at AFSI (All Faith Seminary International) with particular attention to youth. UNITY IN EUROPE Spiritual Centre is the home of Unity principles and teachings with an interfaith undertone. The centre is located in Malta and it serves the entire European Union.
OUR MAIN FOCUS
UNITY in EUROPE is part of a global spiritual organisation, that offers a framework for personal-spiritual unfolding and education. Not having dogmas or strong ties to any religions but drawing from universal spiritual principles, UNITY in EUROPE intends to support the development of self-directed, compassionate, considerate and global individuals through offering practical spiritual educational programs for all age groups.
Our main aim is to build an inclusive and supportive community. Unity in Europe wishes to support individuals to create a personal relationship with the Divine Source/Presence and the Loving that resides within each of us. By doing so, we can live a happy and prosperous life, in greater peace with self and others.
WHAT IS UNITY?
KEY WORDS
- alternative spiritual organisation promoting mental and spiritual well-being in a practical way
- rooted in Christianity but incorporates the universal messages of all spiritual paths (interfaith)
- inclusive and non-dogmatic with 5 key messages or principles (please see below)
- offers supportive communities around the world to enable individual path to self-mastery and connectedness to the Divine Source
We believe that ‘perfection’ exits in the Divine Source that we can tap into (via prayer, meditation, contemplation, etc.) and channel it into our daily lives by cultivating our connection with the Divine Presence/Source.
In detail
Unity, is a spiritual movement that emphasises positive thinking, prayer, and the power of the mind in creating a fulfilling and abundant life. The primary mission of Unity is to promote spiritual growth and transformation through the practice of Unity principles and teachings. Unity teaches that individuals can experience a deeper connection with the divine by recognising the presence of Spirit as an omnipresent power and by applying spiritual principles in their daily lives.
Unity is a way of life and teaches, “How to think, not what to think” giving people the opportunity to follow their own spiritual path in a loving, accepting and nurturing self, others and the environment.
At Unity, there’s absolutely no pressure to join or stay; we embrace individual autonomy on this path. Ministers or Pastors serve as supportive figures whom you can approach for guidance on questions about Unity without any obligation.
Our key messages:
• We believe that prayer (communication with the Divine Presence) works. (we use a 5-step prayer process)
• We help people discover and live their spiritual purpose and potential.
• We help people have a stronger connection to God/Divine Presence every day.
• Our spiritual centres have inspiring ministers and are involved in spiritual social action and social activities. Unity provides a positive alternative to negative religious experiences.
• We provide a philosophy that is spiritual, not religious, and is love-based, not fear-based. We honor all paths to God/Divine.
• We believe in making a positive difference in the world.
• We believe in being a positive example and role model.
Background
The Unity movement, also known as Unity Church or Unity School of Christianity, is a spiritual organisation that originated in the United States in the late 19th century by Myrtle and Charles Fillmore. Myrtle Fillmore in the early 1900’s healed herself of Tuberculosis and Charles paying a particular interest in her teachings, also healed himself of many ailments. They then took those mystical practices to teach and heal others around the world.
While Unity incorporate elements of Christianity, such as the teachings of Jesus Christ, Unity is considered part of the New Thought movement rather than a traditional Christian denomination.
Unity emphasises spiritual principles such as the power of positive thinking, prayer, prosperity, intention, manifestation, meditation, metaphysical teachings and the innate divinity or oneness of all individuals.
We draw from various spiritual traditions, including Christianity, but also incorporate ideas from metaphysics, eastern spirituality, and other philosophical teachings.
While Unity acknowledges Jesus Christ as a one of the spiritual teachers, it uses all the teachings for personal growth, inner healing, and spiritual transformation.
Overall, Unity can be considered a spiritual movement with Christian roots, but its beliefs and practices extend beyond traditional Christianity, embracing a broader perspective on spirituality and personal development.

UNITY’S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES for spiritual living
- There is only one Presence and one Power active in the Universe. The Divine Presence is Good.
- Our essence is of the Divine; therefore we are inherently good.
- Mind Action – We are co-creators with the Divine, creating reality through thoughts held in Mind.
- Affirmative Prayer – Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with the Divine. Denials and affirmations are tools we use.
- Living the Truth – Through thoughts, words, and actions, we live the Truth we know.
