It feels like a daunting task to talk about Love while the world is in complete chaos.
I feel that I need to get very practical today. It is time to get practical! It seems to me that we have been ‘interpreting’ Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection in a rather irresponsible way: Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross for my sins ergo there is nothing I need to do!
In the crucifixion and resurrection story we are taught of the greatest Love-story. Jesus’ Love and devotion to God (the Divine Presence). For me, Jesus’ (only) 3-year-long ministry is a story of compassion, a never ceasing Love for the divine spark of God residing within us all. Yes, even in the ‘evil’ ones.
Today, in the resurrection story, we are reminded and asked to shift our focus from the craze of the world and our troubling emotions back to Love, shown us by Jesus, in the form of compassion.
In order to be able to make that shift, however, we must find the way to look onto everything and everyone through the eyes of Love regardless how that someone/something appears.
I am joining Pope Leo in his request for Peace that, I believe, starts within. As I close my eyes in prayer or meditation today, I hold myself in Loving compassion so my own pain an anguish can dissipate. Then I extend this Loving embrace to humanity. Today, I will think and act with compassion, just Loving it all, regardless.
daily meditation and contemplation with an 11th century mystic
Let those who live with eyes wide open and hear with open ears welcome with love these mystical words, which have come from him who is Life. Hildegard von Bingen
The program runs for 30 days, from the 16th of January to the 14 February, 2026
Though she was a medieval Christian mystic and nun she believed in practical spirituality and daily contemplative practice that is relevant to one’s life. As you will see the daily sharing she offers for us to contemplate is rather ‘relevant’. For example, some days we are asked to contemplate on our choices in life, on other days, we will contemplate on how we view our own sexuality.
She created a daily practice schedule with short daily meditative prayers of her visionary messages that we will do at the start of the day. And then there will be exercises suggested for the end of the day, too.
Each morning around 5am CET a short video will be posted on our YOUTUBE and TIKTOK channels introducing a short meditation and the text for daily contemplation. Then in the evening, around 5pm CET another short video will be posted with the evening contemplations.

SUGGESTIONS
The purpose of this program is to open a gate for you to gain spiritual insight and wisdom. We are all connected to the Source/Divine Presence/God (use your own word). It is a kind of video book for a special kind of spiritual journey that offers insight and guidance. Please remember that this program intends to ‘free’ your spirit not to confine it so please go with what feels right. I offer a structure for you but you do not need to follow it if it does not work for you.
Don’t be surprised if you understand nothing. Understanding is not the point! Go with what feels right, simply allow Spirit to guide you through the next 30 days.

Hildegard of Bingen lived between 1098-1179. She was a benedictine nun with extraordinary talent and accomplishment that have made her a source of inspiration and admiration. She was a mystic an a visionary, but she was also a prophet, a reformer, a scientist, an encyclopedist, a composer, and a dramatist – a Renaissance personality well before the Renaissance.
She wrote numerous books on various subject such as natural science, animals, natural medicine, holistic health, music, theology and her powerful spiritual visions.
She stands out from mystics as well who mostly wrote out of an intense personal experience of God. Instead Hildegard was a visionary and a prophet. She does not use the ‘divine-spouse’ approach to spirituality. She invites us through her insights to seek to penetrate the mystery of God and to live consciously in Its presence day by day.

WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?
Reading, reflecting and Praying is the three-fold activity that we will be doing daily. I will read out a two-part message for you so you can listen to it in a meditative posture. You are asked to contemplate on the message and use the mantra throughout the day and make notes for yourself on your discoveries. In the evening there will be a closing prayer.
Every morning and evening set aside a few quiet moments (about 5-6min) where you can listen to the video without disruption.
If you can write down the mantra of the day and read it out for yourself regularly and just observe what happens.

“You beings on earth who are in deep slumber, awaken! Who among you has labored to run darkness into light and bitterness into sweetness?” Stop sleeping! Wake up! What are you waiting for? the Zohar
Our 38 day journey from DARKNESS TO LIGHT concluded yesterday with Epiphany.
The New Year has just begun: What are you taking with me from the past year? And what is it that I must let go of so to have more joyous experiences in the new year? – I am asking myself.
So, today and in the coming days, I am taking a hard look at what separates me from the Loving, from Oneness with the Divine abundance of all the goodness. I look back on my notes of the past 38 days to see what has showed up, then I do what needs to be done … I forgive, I release, I accept, I let go, I embrace …
The past year was exhausting, I learnt a lot, I understood more about myself, I had many challenging and painful experiences beside the joyous and wonderful ones, so its time for integration and (hopefully) change.
I am talking inner change, because I know very well that no change can occur in my physical experiences – I cannot bring the new into manifestation – if the energy I generate does not change.
I truly understand now that creating vision boards is not enough. One must do the inner work so the vison can manifest.
So, I am letting go, releasing, forgiving, embracing … so my outer experiences can alter.
It is time to move higher.
I wish that you and I find the blocks that prevent us from having the wonderful life that we wish for ourselves and have the courage to walk through it.
“You beings on earth who are in deep slumber, awaken! Who among you has labored to run darkness into light and bitterness into sweetness?” Stop sleeping! Wake up! What are you waiting for? the Zohar

12 Powers The Power of Life
In our Advent Booklet, today, Rev. Elizabeth Longo reminds us that the past is gone. I am free—unbound and unlimited—to create the life I desire. I am a living, breathing miracle. The universe surrounds me with love and support, conspiring for my highest good. It gently reminds me that I am fully divine and fully human.
I listen to the still, small voice within that assures me, You matter. You are worthy. Follow your heart. You are deeply and wholly loved.
With a grateful heart, I celebrate With a grateful heart, I celebrate the radiant life ever unfolding within me.

Personally, I find that it is important to have a focus or an intention behind any endeavour.
Spending time with the intention to care for my mental health and spiritual well-being is always an effort. At the same time it can be fun! Reading short, warm, and enlightening messages and affirmations, doing a short task or listening to a piece of music take only a few minutes a day but it makes a gigantic difference in my life. During these few minutes a day, I peek out of the darkness, the world full of woe, into the Light: into the Peace, Joy, Love and Warmth of the Divine Presence.
I am going to walk this Christmas journey contemplating on the Divine Light and enjoying the sense of Peace, Joy and Love that it comes with.

Day 37.5
LISTEN!
The Twelfth Night
The Twelfth Night, celebrated on the night of Jan. 5, is considered the end of the Christmas season. Cultures, like the French and Spanish, celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany with a king’s cake, a coffee cake with purple, green and yellow icing to commemorate the visit by the magi to the Christ child. In western cultures, the King’s Cake is associated with Mardi Gras, and the season of Carnival. Churches also vary in their celebration of the Epiphany; Protestant churches celebrate it for an entire season, lasting until the season of Lent, while many Catholics celebrate it as a single day.
MESSAGE
Rev Kudlik tells us that the important message for me in the story of the three Magi and their 12-day journey to the new- born Jesus is Oneness. In my understanding, the three kings represent various levels of our human consciousness. I have suggested one interpretation before and now I am offering another one wrapped up in the short story of the Magi. I can see the three levels of our human consciousness – that are called: conscious, unconscious, and subconscious – as the three kings journeying together being led by the brightest Star in the sky. They make an arduous journey together during which they learn about each other, they even become friendly and, in certain ways, become aligned with each other. They arrive in the middle of the night. Upon their arrival they are in awe. They bow and acknowledge the greatness that they see in Christ, a higher level of Consciousness. Reaching Christ Consciousness is their goal that they have now arrived at and finally unite with. Their separation ends and in Oneness they find ultimate Peace and Loving.
These 12 days are a sacred inner journey of unfolding, learning, and becoming. When we come face to face with the vastness of who we truly are in the Christ Consciousness – as we call Oneness in Unity – we automatically become devout and grateful because we suddenly see ourselves in a new Light.
PRAYER
“May I be safe.” “May I be peaceful.” “May all beings be peaceful.”
ACTIVITY
Dwelling in Illumination – Sit in stillness and imagine yourself bathed in light. Allow it to settle into every place that once felt shadowed.
Closing Reflection
The darkness was not an absence, but a womb. The light is not an arrival, but a way of seeing.
Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the meditation/song (above) at least once.
Prayer of the Day
I rest in the truth of Oneness. There is only one Presence and one Power, God the Good, active in all. I am one with this Presence, whole and complete. I honour the Divine in every person, every being, and every part of creation. In this awareness, I live in harmony, guided by love, and grounded in peace. We are One.
Closing Blessing
May the light we have touched guide our steps. May the wisdom of many paths deepen our compassion. May we walk forward together—from darkness into light.

As he told us himself, all that he did we can do also.

The Power of Imagination
In our Advent Booklet, today, Rev. Sandra Campbell says that everything in the manifest world originates in the imagination. I use my imagination to create the good that I seek. The first time I won anything was at a raffle where I pictured myself winning the item even before I purchased my ticket. Each of us has this power of creative imagination. Before we can accomplish anything, we must visualize it in our minds. In the words attributed to William Arthur Ward, “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.”
QUOTES
Christian mysticism: “Be still and know.” (Psalm 46:10) Hinduism: Silence (mauna) as spiritual discipline Buddhism: Stillness reveals clarity.

12 Days of Christmas and the 12 Powers (Reminder)
“We will continue our daily devotionals through Epiphany on January 6.
Epiphany traditionally commemorates the day that the magi reached the baby Jesus, bringing their gifts and their intuitive knowledge that this child would alter history. The word epiphany means “revelation.” Each Christmas reveals to us anew the divine energy that is born in every child, the spiritual gifts that each of us brings to this human experience.
Having just celebrated the inborn Christ in Jesus and in us, we will explore in these next 12 days the idea that we are divine and what it means for us. Unity teaches that we are equipped with 12 inner powers or attributes of God to be developed throughout our lives.
By focusing on these 12 innate qualities, we can enter into 2026 with a fresh understanding of our own spiritual nature. We invite you to explore these 12 powers within yourself and consider ways to bring them forth and use them more intentionally as you journey through the coming year.”
The Power of Power
In our Advent Booklet, today, Marilyn King-Compton says that it is important that we remember to positively monitor the words that come through our throats, tongues, and mouths. Even if we see the power of words being used destructively, we must keep living the divine power we know.
QUOTES
Judaism: “I set before you life and death…choose life.” (Deut. 30:19) Buddhism: “The path leads to the cessation of suffering.” Confucianism: “The noble person chooses righteousness.”

The Power of Wisdom
In our Advent Booklet Rev. Robin Volker writes that wisdom is not just what I feel and know; it is the divine presence within me, guiding my every step toward my highest good. Wisdom graciously offers me the clarity and understanding to navigate the winding path ahead.
To connect with this divine power, I seek time in the Silence where true wisdom resides. I listen for the still, small voice that never fails to whisper guidance and truth. With every action, I align with wisdom, ensuring that my choices reflect my highest self and contribute to my greatest good. On this day and always, I trust wisdom to light my way.

What feels broken may be an opening. Light often enters where defenses fall away.
Silently release one resentment, even if only in intention.
In our Advent Booklet Rev. Shirley Knight tells us about The Power of Strength. With a loving heart we summon strength from the Source of all energy and wisdom. Focusing on the center of Being, we draw from the infinite flow of life. Sometimes quiet, sometimes expressive, the power of strength helps us move when it is time to move and stay when we are called to stay.
QUOTES
Christianity: “Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” (Luke 6:37) Buddhism: “Hatred does not cease by hatred, but by love alone.” (Dhammapada) Islam: “Pardon and reconcile; God loves those who do good.” (Qur’an 5:13)
ACTIVITY
Allowing the Cracks – Reflect on a moment of vulnerability or failure. Consider how openness might allow light to enter.

MESSAGE – Listening Closely
Listen closely, the voice that speaks gently is the one worth following.
Our Advent Booklet says today that from the powerful season of Advent and the Christmas celebrations We have renewed our awareness of the divine light within each of us.
Rev. Juan del Hierro says, that as we move on, we focus first on the power of faith, one of the 12 qualities of our inner Christ light. Jesus shared many times that God can do amazing things through our faith, even if it’s the size of a mustard seed, so don’t minimize the power of your faith. Even a little faith can grow into something mighty, something bound to change your life and change our world.

Even in uncertainty, your breath is a quiet promise: life continues.
Our Advent Booklet reminds us today that the heart of Christmas is the awakening of Christ consciousness, the divine love that lives within.
Rev. Jim Blake reminds us: The Christ child came into the world as light in darkness, peace in unrest, hope in times of trouble. This same light, peace, and hope are born within us each time we open our hearts to divine love. Every moment we choose compassion over criticism, generosity over fear, a kind word over apathy, we give birth to the Christ in the world once more.
In this holy season, let us each make room for the Christ to be born anew. May we create space for the wonder and majesty of this time of year, for grace and gratitude, and the miracles large and small that accompany the season.
QUOTES
Genesis: “God breathed into the human the breath of life.” (Gen. 2:7) Hinduism: “The breath is the life-force of all beings.” (Upanishads) Indigenous wisdom: “Breath connects us to all that lives.”
Let love be genuine … love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. —Romans 12:9-10
ACTIVITY
Staying with What Is – Take 10 slow breaths. With each inhale, welcome life; with each exhale, release fear. Remain with one difficult feeling for a few breaths. Resist the urge to change it. Practice gentle presence.
Closing Reflection
The darkness was not an absence, but a womb. The light is not an arrival, but a way of seeing.
Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the meditation/song (above) at least once.
On this day, I affirm … I let love lead the way.
Closing Blessing
May the light we have touched guide our steps. May the wisdom of many paths deepen our compassion. May we walk forward together—from darkness into light.

MESSAGE – The First Light
You do not need full clarity to move forward. A single step toward awareness is already light.
In our Advent Booklet today, Rev. Kathy Beasley reminds us that the wise ones, the seekers followed the light because something in them knew it was worth the journey. Their gifts weren’t just treasures; they were acknowledgments of the sacred before them.
Christmas is not just their story; it’s our story of Truth that continues to unfold every time love is chosen, joy is shared, and peace prevails. So whether you light a candle, wrap a gift, or sing a song, let this special day remind you that you are a bearer of light, a bringer of joy, and a living, breathing expression of divine love.
QUOTES
Love doesn’t make the world go ’round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. Franklin P. Jones
ACTIVITY
The First Light – Light a candle or imagine light forming in darkness. Sit with it for a moment.
Reflect:How does the First Light appear to me tonight?
Contemplate on the following Sacred Voices:
Judaism: “God said, ‘Let there be light.’” (Genesis 1:3)
Christianity: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.” (John 1:5)
Zoroastrianism: Light as truth and goodness opposing chaos.
Closing Reflection
The darkness was not an absence, but a womb. The light is not an arrival, but a way of seeing.
Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the meditation/song (above) at least once.
On this day of Advent … I remember that I AM the peace I seek.
Closing Blessing
May the light we have touched guide our steps. May the wisdom of many paths deepen our compassion. May we walk forward together—from darkness into light.

Ezek a ‘trigger’ helyzetek.
Szívesen beszélgetek a hogyanokról.
Szeretettel, Pásztor Kudlik Unity in Europe Unity, gyakorlatias spiritualitás a mindennapokban.

Let us choose joy not just today this week with that awareness. Let us be a living expression of joy, together, as we move into the new year.

Our Advent Booklet invites us today to remember that Love inspires us, heals our wounds, brings us solace, and challenges us to grow, always making us want to be the best version of ourselves.

We can incorporate it into our beliefs, thoughts, activities, and actions. Whatever we offer in love will end up being the right and perfect gift at the right and perfect time.

This week we contemplate Love
MESSAGE – Shadow Teaches
Even your shadows hold wisdom waiting to be acknowledged.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to remember that Love is our true nature. Allowing our hearts and minds to open, we feel and express love in every moment.
Rev. David B. Adams invites us to get together because get-togethers remind us of love’s importance within our chosen circles. Aromas and flavors of the holidays remind us that life is meant to be lovingly savored. Opening ourselves to these truths, we embody our true nature. We see only love, as the Divine sees.
QUOTES
What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Helen Keller
ACTIVITY
Contemplate the Shadow – Journal about one fear, doubt, or pattern and how it protects or teaches you.
Reflect: What parts of my shadow are trying to protect me, and what wisdom do they carry?
Learn something new – Spend time learning about a topic of interest to stimulate intellectual curiosity. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the sound meditation (above) at least once.
On this day of Advent … I choose to see love everywhere.

A héten a Szeretetről gondolkodunk

A héten a Szeretetről gondolkodunk
ÜZENET: A Szeretet kiteljesedik

Today and this week we contemplate Love.
MESSAGE – Love Expands
Love offered outward grows stronger within.
Our Advent Booklet reads today: At Christmastime, we are reminded of the loving presence of the Christ within. When we open our hearts to freely give and receive love, whether in the form of a shared memory or a homemade gift , we are aligned with the divine law of unity. It is the energy of love that fosters peace and healing in our lives and in the world around us.
Rev. Maggie Alderman asks us to consider the question: Have you ever stopped to consider the impact your love has made on the world? Then, she reminds us that Unity cofounder Myrtle Fillmore taught us that love is the great harmonizer, a force that can heal, restore, and unite. She believed that love has the power to bring us into harmony with ourselves as well as others. And where love is present, negativity and discord dissolve.
QUOTES
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive. Dalai Lama
You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection. Buddha
ACTIVITY
Loving-Kindness Meditation – Silently repeat:
“May I be safe.”
“May I be peaceful.”
“May all beings be peaceful.”
Reflect: Was it easier to offer loving-kindness to myself or to others today—and why?
Find humor in something small – Look for a reason to laugh or smile today. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the music (above) at least once.
On this day of Advent … Love is all around.

MESSAGE – Symbol of the Soul
Your personal symbol of light is a mirror of your inner fire.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to become aware of the song : Silent night. Holy night. All is calm. All is bright. Then notice the stillness of a dark night, a shining star lighting the sky.
Rev. Dale Worley reminds us that at this time of year, we celebrate the arrival of light into a dark world. This is the beginning of a story, but this story is not only about Jesus; it’s also about you. The manger can symbolize your open heart, a place where peace is found when you take time to be still. Let the birth of Jesus remind you of this deeper Truth: that silent, holy night is within you.
QUOTES
Never fear to deliberately walk through dark places, for that is how you reach the light on the other side. Vernon Howard
ACTIVITY
Meaningful Symbol – Draw, sculpt, or write a symbol that represents “light in darkness” for you.
Reflect: What does “light in the darkness” mean personally for me at this time in life?
Reach out to a loved one – Connect with family or friends to share conversation and strengthen social bonds. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the meditation/song (above) at least once.
On this day of Advent … I remember that I AM the peace I seek.

A héten a Reményről gondolkodunk
ÜZENET: A Lélek szimbólumai
Amilyen szimbólumot képzelsz a fénynek, olyan formán jelenik meg a benső tüzed is.
Az Adventi Füzet arra invitál ma bennünket, hogy énekeljük magunkban el az ismert karácsonyi dal első pár sorát: “Oh, csendes éj, szentséges éj, minden nyugodt, minden fényben úszik. ” Azután vegyük észre a sötét éjszakába zárt nyugalmat, és a csillag fényét, ami bevilágítja az eget.
Rev.

MESSAGE – Honoring Ancestors
You carry the strength of many who walked before you.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to realise that anyone and everyone who is willing to spiritually connect to the idea of God’s unlimited peace, can call it forth from within.
Rev. Alberta Ware invites us to contemplate the joy of new birth that I will experience spiritually this season, and more peace fills our soul. All of us can feel surrounded by the peaceful arms of God.
QUOTES
To understand and reconnect with our stories, the stories of the ancestors, is to build our identities. Frank Delaney
ACTIVITY
Offer Light to an Ancestor – Light a candle and say a quiet thank-you to someone who came before you.
Reflect: What qualities, gifts, or lessons did I receive from those who came before me?
Create something – Engage in a creative activity, such as drawing, writing, or cooking. Do it mindfully. Pay attention what you are doing and how you are doing it. Do not only ‘go for’ the result of your activity. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the meditation music (above) and contemplate.
On this day of Advent … God’s unlimited peace keeps me filled with love and joy!

ÜZENET: Megjelenik a melegség
A jó emberi kapcsolatok elengedhetetlenek a mosolygós élethez. Csernus Imre
FELADAT
Vedd észre ahogyan a meleg szétárad a testedben.

MESSAGE – Warmth Arrives
Warmth is not a temperature—it’s a presence.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to consider that connecting with others, mostly those who are different from us, depends largely on our attitude.
Akosua Washington-Woods, asks as to connect within, listen to our heart and soul space. In the stillness we reach oneness with all. We are one. We are one because Spirit is everywhere, in everyone. In Spirit we are alike.
QUOTES
My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together. Desmond Tutu

Warmth Ritual – Prepare a hot drink and sip it mindfully, thinking of warmth spreading within. Contemplate the experience of presence.
Reflect: Where do I feel warmth—physical, emotional, spiritual—in my life right now?
Meditate or practice mindfulness – Dedicate a few minutes to quiet reflection or focused breathing to clear your mind. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the song or meditation (above) at least once.

A héten a Reményről gondolkodunk
ÜZENET: A Bölcsesség Megszólal
Titkos szavak élővé vállnak, amikor hagyjuk, hogy könnyedén landoljanak. 😉
Az Adventi Füzet arra invitál ma bennünket, hogy válasszuk a fényt és tartsuk figyelmünket a világosságban, a tudatosságban, a könnyedben a bennünket körülvevő káosztól függetlenül.
Rev.
Dehogy.
FELADAT

MESSAGE – Wisdom Speaks
Sacred words become alive when you let them land gently.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to chose the light and hold our attention in it regardless of the chaos that may be happening around us.
Rev. Danny Spears, D.Min. reminds us today that if we lose focus and take our gaze away from the Light, we will sink back into the old habits of the darkness. Peter’s story demonstrates this loss of focus profoundly. We need to remember, however, that we are not alone. We can always reach out to our community who will hold us until we regain our inner focus.
QUOTES
Be Impeccable With Your Word. Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love. Don Miguel Ruiz
ACTIVITY
Contemplative Reading – Read a spiritual text, poem, or sacred passage slowly and reflect.
Reflect: What line, idea, or word felt alive or spoke directly to me today?
Declutter a small space – Organize one small area of your physical environment to create a sense of order. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the sound meditation (above) .
On this day of Advent … I discover and embrace peace in community.

Tizedik Nap – Advent üzenete: Békesség
Hallgasd meg ma!
Megbocsátás és elengedés meditáció
A héten a Reményről gondolkodunk
ÜZENET:A Szív megenyhül
Rev. Edith Washington-Woods arra emlékeztet bennünket, hogy a békesség minden pillanatban lehetséges, attól függetlenül, hogy mi zajlik körülöttünk. A békesség belül történik.
A békessége igénye cselekvésre késztet. Ezzel megérkezel a jelen pillanatba.
Bradley Nelson
FELADAT
Átjár a nyugalom és békesség, most, ebben a pillanatban.

Forgiveness is a door that always opens inward first.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to consider that the unpeaceful times we live in are opportunities to call peace forward.
Rev. Edith Washington-Woods remind us that peace is possible no matter what is appearing. The activity of peace resides inside of us. Once we focus into peace and feel peace inside of us, it starts showing up everywhere. We may not see it with our physical eyes, but we know that it is there. Peace require action. So take a moment to center yourself by taking a deep breath. Then remember “peace be still and know that I am God’.Keep on centering yourself and breathing into this statement. Notice, you are at peace.
QUOTES
It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it. Eleanor Roosevelt
ACTIVITY
Forgiveness Practice – Write a letter of forgiveness to yourself. (you do not have to send it). Think of times when you did or said something that you judge yourself for. Start by saying: I forgive myself for judging myself for … (whatever happened.) Keep on writing until memories show up.
Reflect:What burden or pain might begin to soften if I allow forgiveness to enter?
Offer encouragement to another – Share a kind word or support with someone who might be struggling. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the meditation (above) at least once.
On this day of Advent … I am centered, calm, and peaceful in this moment, on this day.

MESSAGE – Nature’s Wisdom
Even bare branches hold the promise of spring.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to remember that peace is inherently ours.
Rev. Matthew E. Long reminds us that spiritual wisdom teaches that peace arises from within. The soul that is in harmony with Spirit knows peace. Peace in our world begins with peace in our hearts and minds. Peace is not the cessation of conflict; it is a consciousness attuned to the divine order and divine timing inherent in creation.
QUOTES
Peace is not an absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice. Baruch Spinoza

Nature Walk –Take a mindful walk, noticing winter textures, colors, and stillness.
Reflect: What did nature teach me about stillness, seasons, or change today?
Set a simple, achievable goal – Accomplish something small to build a sense of progress. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the sound meditation (above) at least once.

Kilencedik Nap – Advent üzenete: Békesség
*
A héten a Hitről és a Reményről gondolkodunk
ÜZENET: A Természet bölcsessége
A csupasz fák ágai magukban hordozzák a tavasz erejét.
Rev. A világban lévő béke a bennünk lévő béke minőségétől függ.
Borsa Brown

Today and this week we contemplate Peace.
MESSAGE – Words Carry Power
Speak light, and you become its messenger.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to enter a state of peace by nonresistance.
Rev. Maggie Alderman reminds us on the second Sunday of Advent that we are invited for a deep and soul-level reflection regardless of the sensory overload that we are experiencing in the outer world at this time of the year. When we are faced with challenges because of the Christmas-craze around us, we are invited to respond with presence and trust. The second week of advent reminds us of nonresistance in a sense of peace. Jesus modelled how to still the noise and focus into our inner dialogue with Spirit.
QUOTES
Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind. Buddha
ACTIVITY
Affirmations of Light – Speak one of these aloud (or create your own):
“I am a vessel of light.”
“Hope flows through me.”
“Even in darkness, I am grounded in love.”
Reflect: Which affirmation resonated most today, and what part of myself responded to it?
Seek inspiration – Read an uplifting story, listen to inspiring music, or look at a piece of art that evokes positive feelings. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the bell meditation at least once.
On this day of Advent … I am at peace regardless of the noise.

20 Minute Meditation for Listening Within
*
This week we contemplate Faith and Hope.
MESSAGE – Listen Within
In stillness, your inner voice becomes unmistakable.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to know that faith is filled with great energy.
Rev. Ric Schumacher reminds us today that mountain-moving faith is revealed when we use faith in our daily lives. Each time we use the gift of faith and think of the Source from which it flows, all the gifts of Spirit are made manifest.
QUOTES
The only journey is the one within. Rainer Maria Rilke
Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. Rumi
Hard times don’t create heroes. It is during the hard times when the ‘hero’ within us is revealed. Bob Riley
ACTIVITY
Quiet Reflection –Sit in silence for 10 minutes and simply observe your breath.
Reflect:What did the silence reveal that noise and busyness usually hide?
Reconnect with nature – Spend time outdoors, even a few minutes, to observe the natural world. Then, for 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the bell meditation at least once.
On this day of Advent … I stand in faith.

Hetedik Nap – Advent üzenete: Remény és Hit
20 perc meditáció harangokkal
*
Hallgass a benső hangra!

This week we contemplate Faith and Hope.
MESSAGE – Clearing Space
When you release what no longer serves, light enters.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to take life one step, one breath, and one prayer at a time.
Amy Ellis remind us that when life seems uncertain or we are faced with situations that feel hopeless, we can make a conscious decision to choose faith over doubt and hope over despair. Often, action is required to return us to a place of faith. It may be as simple as getting out of bed, saying a prayer, lighting a candle, and choosing to believe that a better moment will come.
QUOTES
All the beautiful sentiments in the world weigh less than a single lovely action. James Russell Lowell
ACTIVITY
Space Clearing – Clean or declutter a small space (a table, drawer, or corner) and dedicate it to peace.
Reflect: What emotional or mental clutter do I also need to release—not just physical clutter?
Disconnect digitally for a period – Step away from screens and social media to reduce external stressors. For 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like. Listen to the Tibetan healing sounds at least once.
On this day of Advent … I affirm I am being guided, and I choose to trust divine wisdom.

MESSAGE – Kindness Radiates
Even a tiny kindness changes the atmosphere.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to prayerfully attune to the power of love.
Rev. Jeanmarie Eck reminds us to day that as we attune to the power of love we open our heart to divine inspiration. When Spirit visited Mary in the form of an angel, Mary put the Lord in charge of her being. This is what heart-centered-consciousness is. As we release our ego – the limitations of the self – we invite the Divine to lead us. As a result, we are lifted and our life is lead from a heart-centered-consciousness.
QUOTES
Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.—Luke 1:38
ACTIVITY
Offer Kindness – Once again, perform one intentional, quiet act of kindness without expecting recognition.
Reflect: How did giving kindness today shift my inner world, not just someone else’s?
Engage in self-care – Spend time doing something that nourishes your body, mind, or spirit (e.g., a warm drink, quiet reading time, or gentle exercise). Can you do something kind to yourself? For 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like.
On this day of Advent … My faith invites the Spirit to be expressed as me now.

ÜZENET: A kedvesség ragyog
A legapróbb kedvesség is változtat a helyzeten.

FELADAT
MESSAGE – Silence Returns You
When you unplug, you hear the truth beneath the noise.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to look at faith as assurance.
Rev. Dr. Norma Iris Rosado reminds us that Faith is the certainty—a more profound and more rooted energy—of what is hoped and not yet seen. While hope waits for the future, faith is for the present time, here and now. With faith, I trust that in spite of any situation, divine order has already been established for my good.
QUOTES
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.—Hebrews 11:1
ACTIVITY
Unplug – Turn off digital devices for 1–2 hours and sit with your own presence. You can go out into nature if you like, but you are asked not to use any electrical devices and refrain form ‘making noise’.
Reflect: What happens inside me when I step away from noise, screens, and input?
Perform a small act of kindness – Do something thoughtful for someone else without expecting anything in return. For 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like.
On this day of Advent … I have faith that I am divinely guided.

ÜZENET: A Csendben meghallod önmagad
Amikor minden zajforrást kiiktatsz, úgymond ‘kikapcsolsz’, elkezded meghallani a zaj mögött élő igazságokat.
Rev.
Konfuciusz

Reflektálás: Mi történik olyankor bennem, mikor elcsendesül a világ körülöttem?
Tegyél valami apróságot valaki másért – tegyél valami kedveset valakiért anélkül, hogy viszonzást várnál érte. Öt percig ülj a csendben és reflektálj ezeken a dolgokon. Naplózz, ha van kedved.

Andrea Bocelli, Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes – The Blessing
*
This week we contemplate Faith and Hope.
MESSAGE – Blessing the World
When you send light outward, some always returns.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to let go of false concepts of faith.
Rev Kathy Harwood Long reminds us that faith is in God. It is time to let go of the times when we were let down and our expectations were not met. Circumstances are never perfect. The difference we can make in our life is by changing our attitude towards these circumstances. It is time to make Spirit become alive in us by choosing:
Serenity when we feel powerless to change anyone nor anything.
Peace to counter the conflict and fear we may see around us.
Love to share in any circumstance.
QUOTES
When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.Joel Osteen
Life is not always easy to live, but the opportunity to do so is a blessing beyond comprehension. In the process of living, we will face struggles, many of which will cause us to suffer and to experience pain. L. Lionel Kendrick
ACTIVITY
Blessing for the World: Sit quietly and send a silent blessing to every corner of the world: “May there be peace, healing, and dignity for all beings.”
Reflect: What part of the world—or humanity—feels most in need of healing or hope today?
Practice gratitude – List three things you are thankful for, focusing on the simple, reliable joys in life. For 5 minutes sit in the silence and reflect. Do some journaling if you like.
On this day of Advent … I am unfailing as love, faith, and hope.

Amikor Fény küldesz szét a világba, valamennyi mindig visszatér hozzád.

MESSAGE – Gratitude Awakens
Small blessings are often the brightest. Notice them.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to acknowledge the good and be grateful.
Rev. Saba Mchunguzi says that during this holiday season, we look for the innate goodness of others and see them expressing on a positive and divine level. As we continue to grow spiritually, we realize that faith is not only wishing for good to manifest but believing it will. Faith is knowing the good we desire will manifest.

As I was researching the concept of Darkness and Light for this Advent season, I found that the Zohar, a Kabbalistic text deals in great length with the question of ‘dark’ and ‘light’.
Below I collected a few ideas that I found fascinating and something to consider.
In the Zohar, one of the central mystical texts of Kabbalah, light and darkness are not simply opposites—they are dynamic spiritual forces involved in creation, revelation, concealment, and the soul’s evolution. Their relationship is subtle, rich, and deeply symbolic. They are central mystical concepts that are not merely physical phenomena but spiritual realities with their own essences and functions. The Zohar teaches that darkness is not simply the absence of light, but a necessary condition for light’s full potential and revelation.
Ultimately, the Zohar views the human spiritual journey as a process of transforming darkness into light, a continuous effort to awaken divine light from within the challenges and limitations of the physical world.
Darkness is often associated with negative human traits, limitations, evil (kelipot), or a state of concealment (Gevurah or restriction), while light is associated with divine revelation, goodness (Chesed or love), and spiritual clarity. The Zohar emphasizes the process of tikkun (spiritual rectification), where one must engage with the darkness within themselves to transform it into light and achieve spiritual growth.
I am going to walk this Advent and Christmas season as a journey of contemplation on how to transform from darkness to Divine Light. My focus is on experiencing a sense of Peace, Joy and Love as a result.

Day 1 – First Sunday of Advent – Faith and Hope
*
Today and the coming week we contemplate Faith and Hope.
MESSAGE – The light begins
A single spark is enough. The journey starts with one quiet yes.
Our Advent Booklet invites us today to contemplate and understand that we are special beings who carry a special shade of the Great Light. We are here to shine.
Rev Maggie Alderman, the director of the Unity Prayer ministry, Silent Unity, writes: “We matter. The light we bring into the world—expressed in the way each of us is uniquely designed to do—matters. This Advent season, may we resist the temptation to shrink in the shadow of fear. Instead, let us step forward in faith, trusting that the light we offer is exactly what the world needs, right now.
Faith in particular plays an active role during Advent. Without it, we may lack the courage to embark on the journey of inner transformation that the season invites.”
Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe. Voltaire To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don’t grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float. Alan Watts
ACTIVITY
Light a single candle in silence and set an intention for your 38-day journey.
Reflect:What intention am I setting for this journey, and why is it meaningful to me right now?
For 5 minutes sit in the silence, look into the candle and reflect on your current challenges that you want to bring ‘light’ into. Journal if you like.
Today we affirm: : I am centered in Light. All is well.

Első Nap – Advent üzenete: Remény és Hit
*
Ma és a jövő héten a Hitről és a Reményről gondolkodunk
ÜZENET: A Fény elindul

Most minden rendben van.

A Sötétségből a Világosságba
First of all, it is essential that we look beyond the religious aspect of the season. Jesus was a teacher and a way-shower and his story is our story, too. Every time we contemplate his birth, we experience the ‘Light in the Darkness’.
Let me explain!
We are all Light-bearers. Our Soul, the essence of who we are, is a Spark of the Divine that is immortal. When we are born, a new ‘Light’ arrives into the world. When you look at a newborn child, you can literally see the ‘glow’ about them.
The world is a ‘dark’ place. Our fears and limited ideas of who we are make it so.
After we are born, shortly (sadly), we forget our ‘light nature’ and become part of the ‘darkness’. We accept it to be our reality and go about our life without remembering that we are of the Light.
So, Christmas time is very important because it reminds us, every year, that we are Light that meant to shine in the darkness. We matter. All of us matter because each Light we carry is unique. Every time we remember our true nature, we bring Light into our dark world. We not only uplift ourselves but we also uplift others.
During the time of Advent ( four weeks before Christmas) and Christmas, we are asked to start remembering our true nature and the qualities we seek that is of the Divine Presence: Hope, Joy, Peace and Love.
Spending time in silent contemplation or reading a short spiritually infused passage support us to awaken to our inner Light and to remember who we truly are.
From Darkness to Light, between

we invite you to walk this blessed season with us. We will offer material for daily contemplation. Our material is based on the Advent Booklet produced by Unity.org Rev Kudlik’s comments.

From the 30th of November 2025 to 6th of January (Epiphany) 2026 we will be sharing contemplative exercises daily to brighten the holiday season for you.
As we are moving into the darkest days and the end of 2025, you may want to take the time to reflect. Rev Maggie Alterman says that by contemplating during these dark days we strengthen our inner-light and so bring it into the world. The light we shine is the beacon of hope for us all: it reminds us that we have enough inner resources to endure temporary darkness.
Every morning, we will share a thought and a task that you can contemplate, pray, and meditate on. We are convinced that these small acts of turning inside will support you to let go of the old and what does not support you any more, so you can bring forth the qualities that brighten your life.
You can read these short messages on our website, on Facebook and Instagram.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE
